0:00I think for good human service workers, they need to get a little vulnerable, because nobody wants to feel like they're being judged or they're being processed. They just don't. And judgment can start to feel like processing, and at that I'd like to think we realize the difference here at community action.

0:25So getting vulnerable and really having, even if it's a small outcome, that first encounter — because people want to feel safe. They want to feel secure, and they want to feel that they have been heard.

0:40So can you find that one thing that you can give back before they leave, that they feel like they want to come back for that next thing? I think that's really what's missing with some of the interactions that occur today.
